Dr. Buckley is originally from the northern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and during high school she relocated with her family near Annapolis, Maryland. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland, College Park in Biology with a concentration in Neurobiology and Physiology. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2013. She received multiple honors including induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, Gorgas Odontological Honor Society, Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society and the International College of Dentists Award for leadership. In dental school Dr. Buckley also served as President of Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society and Community Service Chair for the American Association of Women Dentists Maryland Chapter.
After graduation, Dr. Buckley completed her General Practice Residency at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. In dental school, residency, and private practice, she quickly realized that a large barrier to dental care is patient apprehension towards dental procedures. To aid that population of patients, she became certified in IV (intravenous) Conscious Sedation, receiving her training at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. IV sedation has brought her tremendous reward in helping patients reach a state of oral health through comfort and ease. She has also received advanced training in Cosmetic Dentistry, Implant Restorative Dentistry, and Invisalign.
Dr. Buckley resides in the Capital Region with her husband, their two children, and their dog. She enjoys spending time with her family, being active, and is an avid football fan.
Dr. Buckley states, “I feel so fortunate to have a career where I can positively impact the lives of others by improving their health, as well as elevating their self-confidence through their smiles. I’m rewarded every day by the relationships I have with my patients and my never ending purpose is to provide them with the highest quality care possible.”
