Dr. Shannon Llera, a native of Miami, FL, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami, where she studied biology and graduated cum laude. She graduated with honors from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2012 and was selected as a member of Gamma Phi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, Gorgas Odontological Honor Society, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. While a dental student, she was elected as her class vice president and held leadership positions in various organizations she was involved in, including the American Association of Women Dentists, the Hispanic Dental Association, and Psi Omega Dental Fraternity.
Upon graduation, Dr. Llera completed a one year general practice residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where she refined and mastered her skills in implant restoration, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Llera practiced in Maryland prior to relocating to the Capital Region. She remains active in various dental organizations to further her lifelong journey of dental learning.
Dr. Llera states ” I hope to use my advanced training and modern techniques to provide patients with quality dentistry in a comfortable and friendly environment. I truly enjoy all aspects of dentistry, as well as the relationships I establish with each of my patients”
